Philips Zoom Whitening

A brighter smile, done safely and supervised throughout.

In-practice Philips Zoom whitening and supervised take-home options for a brighter, natural-looking result.

What it involves

What is Philips Zoom whitening?

Philips Zoom is a professional whitening system used in more than eighty countries, and we are an approved Zoom centre. Your gums are protected first, the whitening gel is applied, and a gentle LED lamp activates it while you sit back in the chair.

A session takes about an hour and lifts the natural shade of the teeth substantially in that time. There are no UV rays involved, and the gel used with the lamp is a 15% peroxide formulation — considerably lower than the 35% concentrations some light-activated systems rely on, which helps keep sensitivity manageable.

We always check your oral health first. Whitening works on natural enamel, so decay, gum problems and existing crowns or fillings all need to be accounted for before we start.

What we offer

How we approach it here.

An approved Philips Zoom centre

The full in-practice Zoom protocol, carried out by clinicians who use it regularly.

A result in about an hour

One supervised session in the chair is enough for most patients to see a marked difference the same day.

LED light, no UV

The lamp that activates the gel uses gentle LED light rather than ultraviolet.

A shade assessment first

We record your starting shade and set a realistic expectation of where we can get to.

Custom take-home trays

Trays moulded to your teeth hold the gel exactly where it should be, whether you use them on their own or to maintain an in-practice result.

Sensitivity managed

Some sensitivity during whitening is normal. We adjust concentration and timing to keep it comfortable.

Advice on keeping it

Simple guidance on the foods, drinks and habits that will help the result last, which for most patients is a matter of years rather than months.

Is it right for you?

This may be worth a conversation if…

Only an examination can confirm what you need. These are simply the situations that most often bring people in.

Your teeth have gradually darkened

Tea, coffee, red wine, tobacco and time all dull enamel. Whitening reverses much of that.

You have an occasion coming up

A wedding, a reunion or an interview is a common reason to book. Give yourself a little lead time either way.

You would rather not wait weeks

The in-practice session suits busy diaries — one appointment, one hour, one visible change.

You have tried supermarket products without much luck

Professional gels are stronger, better controlled and far kinder to your gums.
