Paediatric dentistry

A dental visit your child looks forward to.

Gentle, age-appropriate visits that help children feel safe, informed and confident.

What it involves

What is paediatric dentistry?

Paediatric dentistry is care designed around children — infants, toddlers, school-aged kids, teenagers, and young people with additional needs. Everything is scaled to them: the pace, the language, the room and the expectations.

Our paediatric room has its own underwater world, complete with a mural, an aquarium and a chair that feels more like an adventure than an appointment. It sounds like a small thing. For a nervous six-year-old it changes everything.

What we offer

How we approach it here.

A room built for children

Colour, characters and a friendly atmosphere help children settle before we have even looked at a tooth.

Prevention while it counts most

Check-ups, gentle cleanings, fluoride and fissure sealants protect young teeth during the years they are most at risk.

Catching things early

Small problems spotted early are usually simple to treat. Left alone, the same problem often is not.

Teaching that sticks

We show children how to brush, floss and eat well in a way they can actually follow, building a little more each visit.

A calm, unhurried approach

Encouragement, explanation and time do most of the work. We never rush a child through a procedure.

Treatment when it is needed

Fillings, orthodontic assessments and management of developing dental issues, all handled with the same gentle approach.

Help when something goes wrong

Knocked teeth, sports injuries and sudden toothache are seen promptly. Phone us and we will make a plan.

Parents fully in the loop

You are part of every conversation, and you leave knowing exactly what to do at home.

Is it right for you?

This may be worth a conversation if…

Only an examination can confirm what you need. These are simply the situations that most often bring people in.

Your child is anxious or has had a difficult visit before

We are used to rebuilding confidence, and we are in no hurry. Some first visits are nothing more than a chair ride and a chat.

Your child needs a check-up or has a sore tooth

Thorough, unhurried examinations with brushing, flossing and healthy-eating advice pitched at their level.

You are wondering when to start

We recommend a first visit around twelve months of age, but any age is a good age for a first visit. The earlier the habit forms, the easier everything that follows becomes.
