Consultations

Every good treatment plan starts with a proper look.

A thorough assessment, findings explained in plain language, and a written plan with costs before anything begins.

What it involves

What does a consultation involve?

A consultation is a conversation with a thorough examination attached. We ask what brought you in, look carefully at your teeth, gums and bite, and then talk you through exactly what we found.

We set aside a full hour for it, because a proper assessment is not something to rush. Nothing is decided on the spot and nothing is pushed. You leave knowing the state of your oral health, what needs attention now, what can safely wait, and what it is likely to cost.

What we offer

How we approach it here.

A full clinical examination

Teeth, gums, bite, existing restorations, jaw joint, lymph nodes, tongue and soft tissues are all checked, along with your blood pressure and general vitals.

Laser cavity detection and imaging

Laser decay detection, digital x-rays where they are needed and intra-oral photographs of the relevant teeth give us far more to work with than a visual check alone.

An orthodontic screening

We review how the teeth are positioned and how the bite is developing, which matters as much for adults as it does for children.

Findings explained in plain language

We show you what we are seeing on screen and why it matters, rather than describing it in clinical shorthand.

A written treatment plan, the same visit

If anything needs doing, you leave with the options and expected costs written down, so you can think it over without any pressure.

A complimentary smile assessment

Curious whether a smile makeover would suit you? We will assess you, discuss the options and give you a plan with a cost estimate at no charge.

Regular preventive check-ups

Once you are settled, a check-up at least once a year keeps small issues small and protects the work already done.

Is it right for you?

This may be worth a conversation if…

Only an examination can confirm what you need. These are simply the situations that most often bring people in.

You are new to the practice

A first consultation gives us a proper baseline and gives you a chance to meet the team before committing to anything.

Something is bothering you

Sensitivity, a rough edge, bleeding gums or a niggle you cannot quite describe are all worth having looked at.

It has been a while

If your last visit is a distant memory, there is no lecture waiting for you. We simply start from where you are.
