Orthodontic Treatments

Straighter teeth, on terms that suit your life.

Braces, aligners and bite correction planned around your teeth, your age and how visible you want treatment to be.

What it involves

What are orthodontic treatments?

Orthodontics is the correction of misaligned teeth and jaws. It improves how a smile looks, and just as importantly it improves how the bite works and how easy the teeth are to keep clean.

There is no longer one way to do it. Clear aligners, tooth-coloured braces and braces fitted behind the teeth all move teeth effectively, and the right choice depends on what needs correcting, how visible you want treatment to be, and how it fits your daily routine.

Whichever route suits you, the starting point is the same: an assessment of your teeth, your bite and what you want to change, followed by a plan you can see before anything is fitted.

What we offer

How we approach it here.

Fixed braces

Still the most versatile option for complex movement, and far more discreet than they used to be.

Digital clear aligners

Removable, nearly invisible trays worn through a planned sequence. Popular with adults who would rather treatment went unnoticed.

Lingual braces

Fitted to the inner surfaces of the teeth, so they are hidden from view entirely.

Bite correction

Overbite, underbite, crossbite and open bite all affect how comfortably you chew and how evenly your teeth wear.

Assessment for children and teenagers

Reviewing a developing bite at the right age often means shorter, simpler treatment later.

Retention that protects the result

Teeth drift over a lifetime. A retainer plan is part of every orthodontic case we take on.

Is it right for you?

This may be worth a conversation if…

Only an examination can confirm what you need. These are simply the situations that most often bring people in.

Your teeth are crowded, spaced or crooked

Crowded teeth are harder to clean, which makes decay and gum problems more likely over time.

Your bite does not meet comfortably

An uneven bite can cause uneven wear, jaw discomfort and teeth that chip more easily.

Chewing or speaking is affected

Misalignment can make eating harder work than it should be, and occasionally affects speech.

You had braces once and things have shifted

Relapse is common and often needs only a short course of treatment to correct.
